Riverside County Location UNAVAILABLE for November 7 Meeting

Attention SOCALOA Riverside Officials,

We regret to  inform you that the Rancho Vista HS location will be unavailable for our Tuesday, November 7 meeting. We would like to invite you to attend the meeting in person at Columbus Tustin Middle School.

SOCALOA First Training Session/Annual Meeting

Wednesday, October 25, 2017 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Columbus Tustin Middle School, Room J-3 17952 Beneta Way Tustin, CA 92780


The Southern California Lacrosse Officials Association will be conducting its first training session for the 2018 season for boy's youth and high school lacrosse referees. This session is open to all current and prospective members. Lacrosse experience or other sports officiating experience is preferred but NOT required. Find out more at Become a Lacrosse Referee.


For New or Prospective SOCALOA Members, please register for the meeting above so we can properly prepare for you and get your contact information to make sure your receive all the updates and information. The form is not an Application for Membership but a way for us to know what new or prospective members will be attending and allow us the opportunity to answer any questions that you may have about membership before the meeting if needed.

The Southern California Lacrosse Officials Association (SOCALOA) will host the annual meeting with CIF Boy's Lacrosse Coaches Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Columbus Tustin Middle School (Room J-3)

Some items on the Agenda will include:

  • SOCALOA as a Non-Profit
  • How to provide Feedback to SOCALOA on its officials
  • How Coaches & Officials Can Work Together

NILOA Meeting moved from Jan 11 to Monday, Jan 16

The NILOA College meeting has been moved from Jan 11 to Monday, January 16. The meeting will take place at Frank Lansner's House at 6:30 pm. You must RSVP to this event by accepting your Arbiter invitation in order to attend. Frank's address will provided when we get a count of who will be there by Sunday. This event is mandatory for NILOA officials but all SOCALOA members are invited to attend to check out the college level meeting. Non-NILOA members can also receive training hours if they attend and complete a Training Report.

SOCALOA Hosts Riverside County Training Clinic for NEW Boys Lacrosse Referees

WHO:
Adults 18+, living in Riverside County who are no longer in high school and would like to become
certified Boy’s Lacrosse officials to work games in Temecula, Murrieta, Corona, and/ or Norco.

WHEN: Sunday, December 18, 2016
8:00 am - 3:00 pm

WHERE: Murrieta Mesa High School
24801 Monroe Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562

COST: $45 Training fee, paid on-line at: http://www.socalaxrefs.org/membership/pay-dues-on-line
The clinic will involve a morning classroom session and an afternoon field training with live scrimmages.
Lunch is provided. Please come dressed as officials with as much of the following items as possible: black
shorts, black athletic shoes, black socks, striped shirt and black hat, whistle (Fox 40 preferred), and yellow
flags. This clinic will serve as the first step toward USL officials certification. A written test and on-field
evaluation will occur at a follow-up training.
